Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the heart of Torremolinos at Pl. de Andalucia, 5, Bar Restaurante El Caballo Andaluz is a vibrant Andalusian restaurant and bar that masterfully captures the essence of southern Spain’s culinary traditions. From the moment you step inside this welcoming local gem, you are embraced by a warm, friendly atmosphere where genuine hospitality and delicious food come together in perfect harmony.

The restaurant specializes in authentic Andalusian cuisine, showcasing both classic and contemporary flavors that are sure to delight your senses. Diners frequently praise their expertly crafted menú del día, featuring dishes such as a comforting potato and calamares stew and the mouthwatering secreto a la plancha—grilled pork that bursts with smoky, savory richness. Each plate is thoughtfully presented, balancing traditional recipes with modern flair, and accompanied by sweet, creamy desserts like the irresistible tarte de queso.

Breakfast here is a local favorite, too. The simple yet flavorful pitufo sandwich paired with a rich café con leche creates the perfect start to your day. Even during busy afternoon hours, the atmosphere remains relaxed and inviting, where patrons enjoy casual chatter and the lively exchange of banter between family, friends, and the cheerful staff. This informal, chilled vibe makes El Caballo Andaluz not just a place to eat, but a place to connect.

One of the standout qualities of this restaurant and bar is its approachable pricing, offering exceptional value without compromising on quality. Many guests highlight the reasonable costs—such as their excellent three-course lunch with a drink for just €12—which makes it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors seeking authentic Andalusian flavors without breaking the bank. Even when using credit cards, the accommodating staff go the extra mile, allowing flexibility that adds to the welcoming experience.

Whether you’re stopping by for a relaxed breakfast, a hearty lunch, or planning to savor a variety of tapas, El Caballo Andaluz delivers consistently delicious food infused with the vibrant spirit of Málaga. If you cherish genuine tastes paired with genuine smiles, this charming establishment will quickly feel like a second home. I highly recommend making this your go-to destination in Torremolinos for an authentic Andalusian culinary adventure.

Went here for breakfast and it was good, got a small pitufo sandwich and cafe con leche, we want to go back for tapas. 10 euro minimum for credit cards but the staff was nice and let us use a card slightly under that.

Friendly and helpful people in a chilled environment. I had the menú del día today with a potato and calamares stew, followed by secreto a la plancha, and tarte de queso for desset. They were all good but the friend pork from the grill was amazing, so tasty! It's good value too, €12 for all of that including a drink. I'll be back soon.

Really friendly staff. Visit every morning for breakfast. In the afternoon can get a bit busy. It's a popular place. So be aware. As they say. Good things come to those who wait.

Check this place out. Home style meals and tapas at the right price. Daily specials and menu del dia. Friendly and efficient service from the beautiful English speaking Raquel. Almost opposite MgJamon but much better in all respects.

We stumbled across this lovely Spanish restaurant last summer when we visited Torremolinos. We absolutely loved it so when we came back this year we knew this was the first place we wanted to eat. A year had passed and you would not believe the waitress recognised us! Raquel is so welcoming, helpful and so hard working. We love the Tapas, something a bit different each day. We came back 4 times in our 7 night stay! The Paella was the best I’ve had in a long time. The service is spot on, it’s a lovely spot to people watch and eat traditional Spanish dishes. Both the waitress Raquel and the chef work so hard but always with a smile. We will definitely be back again.
